YAGANTI
Yaganti is a temple town in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is famous for its Sri Yagantiswamy temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most ancient temples in the state. The temple was built by the Pallavas, Cholas, Chalukyas and Vijayanagara rulers between the 5th and 16th centuries
The temple is also known for its Yaganti Basavanna, a statue of Nandi (the bull mount of Shiva) that is believed to be growing in size over the years. The temple also has several caves around it, such as Agastya Cave, Venkateswara Cave and Veera Brahmam Cave, where sages are said to have meditated
Yaganti is a place of natural beauty and spiritual significance. It is surrounded by the Yerramala hills, which offer a scenic backdrop to the temple. It is also associated with many legends and prophecies, such as the one by Saint Veera Brahmam, who predicted that a crow would become a swan at the end of Kali Yuga (the current age) at Yaganti
